Difference Between Internal Web Hosting and External Web Hosting

In the past, running a website was considered as a luxury for a business or organization. However, as the need for a more convenient way of researching information and buying and selling product and services increased, more and more website hosting plan types became available for both small and large-scale companies. Two of the types of web hosting that are used by companies today would be internal hosting and external hosting.

Internal hosting basically refers to the type of hosting wherein a company has their own servers, hardware which are dedicated to their website’s files and bandwidth. With this type of hosting, everything is run and managed internally or in-house. It is also the company which provides the technology and support that they need to run their website on their server.

External hosting, on the other hand, refers to the type of hosting which is provided by another company other than the one that owns the website. This is the more common type of hosting and provides a wide array of services and features to their clients from data storage to bandwidth capability to the technology and support that may be needed in order for the website to run properly.
